Has anyone purchased and installed this stereo. I saw it at Wally World and it is only like $340.00. Also I need to know how to bypass the e-brake switch to allow it play DVD's while driving. I know, I know, it's illegal, but then again so are alot of things I do. I have read a few reveiws that say it is a darn good unit, but I trust the info I find here well over some site that I have never heard of.
Thanks in advance.

My buddy got a Pioneer unit from best buy I believe and they installed it, with it being able to play and drive, but it also has a gps and what not in it too, it has all the bells and whistles. Not sure how to bypass the e brake thing though.

I cannot find it from work, but I also read there is a hidden menu in the Jensen that allows you to by pass the e-brake thing. I am about to install another brand and I just connected the e brake wire to ground so I can do the nav and everything without stopping.

Not sure if it's the same model # but a guy I know got one from Crutchfield for about the same price and he had to hook the ebrake wire to a grounded switch to use it like he wanted to. The one he had required you to press the ebrake and release it several times (a sequence). I guess this is an attempt to keep us safe. He wired it to the ebrake and a hidden switch so he could appear legal but passengers could watch it while on the road.

Appear legal? I know you are not supposed to watch them, but who is going to pull you over to check if it will play or not? The only way they would pull you was if it was on.
I guess you could try and B.S. the cop and say "look it only works with the brake."
I just tied mine to ground that way it always works. I know some of the NAV units you have to be stopped and have the e-brake pushed just to set an address. I like to be able to do so at a stop light if need be.
