If your talking about this , yes, many of us have. It just sticks on the door and programs like a key fob. I think you can only program up to 4 so you will loose one of your key fob usage.

Hope it helps.

This says it isn't good for a 99 (what I have). But the ebay auction shown in this thread says it is.

I'd love to get this, but I don't want to end up getting it and not having it work....anyone know for sure?

The cops said it is illegal to leave a running vehicle unattended, period, and cut him ZERO slack.

This is also the law in Ohio. My dad got a ticket for doing the same thing back in the 70's. Go to any restaurant and or convience store, and the cops will be inside eating or shooting the bull and the cruisers will be running out in the lot. I'm sure that emergency vehicles are probably exempt, but they are also wasting fuel that the taxpayers pay for. [/rant]

I was quite shocked a week ago when someone at work came in complaining that he had just been written a ticket for $101 by the local cops (somewhere in the seattle/tacoma area) for starting his Cummins IN HIS DRIVEWAY, ON HIS PROPERTY, then going back inside the house while it warmed up and thawed the windshield. The cops said it is illegal to leave a running vehicle unattended, period, and cut him ZERO slack.

This is not legal advice, but a cursory reading of the WA code the person was possibly cited under (Unattended motor vehicle (RCW 46.61.600) APPEARS to only apply to...vehicles upon highways (RCW 46.61.005)

You can get these at doorkeypads.com. I looked for many, many hours for one for my 2010 Silverado and this is the ONLY one I found that did not require cutting my door or drilling to run the wires. Another big plus for this model was that I was able to install myself, so I didn't have to drop off at a stereo shop, etc to get installed like would have been required for all the other systems I saw... After having one in my 2006 Ford F150, I really can't say how handy a feature this is to have... especially if you have small kids...
