I quoted for his state. To be more specific:
FL General statute: 316.2397 (1) No person shall drive or move or cause to be moved any vehicle or equipment upon any highway within this state with any lamp or device thereon showing or displaying a red or blue light visible from directly in front thereof except for certain vehicles hereinafter provided.

(3)
Further, escort vehicles may show or display amber lights when in the actual process of escorting overdimensioned equipment, material, or buildings as authorized by law.

That is when the chrome horn (the front bumper) comes into great use. The chrome horn is generally just as loud as the Q and a pair of grovers!

And to the original poster: take a look at Lightning X products. Reasonably priced and show up well. I built our EM coordinator's ride with nothing but Lightning X products and it shows up very very well.

Have been running a combo of those colors for the past 10 years. the fact is people dont pay attention when they drive. it isnt anything related to the over abundance of emergency lights being used out there.

OMG I hear ya there I live in a tourist town and trying to get anywhere during the summer is a royal PITA I have had people flip me off just keep driving pull out you name it.
