manual trans diffrence between 07' and 08'? short shifters?

hey every one i have a new 08' 250 with the 5.4 and 6sp manual and was interested in a short shifter. is the trans the same in my truck as the earlier 07' and back models? after having my mustang mach 1 with an mgw shifter, the new ride feels like shifting a ups truck, i figured i'd ask here because there's a lot more activity than in the 08' forums. i've been looking a midwest and bd, any help would be much appreciated thanks.

I put a midwest transmission short shifter in my 03 7.3. It now shifts the way it was supposed to. cost was reasonable and easy to diy.
