Not looking to upgrade the headend. One of the speakers is done, lots of crackle. I am not looking for anything highend just something better then the stock ones that I can buy preferrably locally.
They need to fit in the stock location.
Thanks
I went with Polk Audo DB-571. Awesome sound for reasonable price, but not cheap.

I currently have the Pioneer speakers in my truck, and I did purchase them at Wal-Mart... Not sure how much I paid for them, but 60-70 bucks sounds about right. If your not looking for high end, but looking for better/clearer high's then this would probably make for your most cost efficient option... On a 1-10 scale the install is somewhere in the 1-2 range. If I remember right you have to replace the speaker plug on the Pioneers with your stock one... Between that and the removal of the door panel is the only part that some may find difficult. As far as fitment, the speakers fit perfectly. Good luck.
Pretty much any speaker $50+ will out due the stock speakers CONSIDERABLY

Being a Polk fan, I agree! Especially since they're down to about $65/pair on Ebay at the moment.
