need tire opinions for stock 05-07 dually

So anyone that has an 05 to 07 dually knows what I'm talking about. The 17 inch rims have all but limited us to the bfs or the continentals. Anyone have any suggestions? I tow and i plow, so what do you do? Michelin just made a new tire to fit the truck, and Firestone has their Transforce that replaces the steelteks. Any suggestions? I'm running a set of BF KOs and at 20k, they are 2/3 worn.

Re: need tire opinions for stock 05-07 dually

From what I have heard, the BFG tires are very good tires for these trucks and that is probably what I am going to put on after the stock tires are done. I have about 35K on my stock tires and a little left. I am going to buy a spacer so that I can go bigger tires. I have had great success with the BFG KO on my old SRW truck= 40K+ rotating every 7500 miles roughly. Some people say the toyos are good but I don't know if they make one to fit a 17 with load range E. Have not heard good things about Nitto tires! How often do you rotate your tires?

Re: need tire opinions for stock 05-07 dually

The BFG Ko's are great tires, just wondering if there is a better option for a dually truck that plows snow in the winter, and runs down the highway in the summer. The BFs that come stock aren't very highly regarded around this area. Everyone used to put Michelin LTXs on their duallies. Anyone using the new Michelin LTX A/S yet? As for rotation.... For the cost of having the tires pulled off the rims, forget that. I'd rather just replace my steer axle tires every 25k or so then pay 100 bucks every 5000 miles to rotate. Save the rotation money for the new tires.
