New Aircraft Fuel Filler door needed

My 2000 F-250 came with a Stainless aircraft style fuel filler door. I liked it and it looked good, but it worked off a magnetic spring loaded catch like you see on stereo component cabinets in your house. You would press the door in a bit, let it release quickly and it would pop out. Then to close it you would gently shut it and the mechanism would compress back and magnetically hold the door in place. The problem is now after a few winters the salt must've messed the mechanism up and the magnets will will not hold the fuel door shut anymore.

I'm looking to get another one, hopefully better made though. I noticed a newer model Dodge Ram the other day with one like it on there, but his actually had a key lock built into it. I would LOVE to find one that I can lock!

If anyone can give me some leads on places to look for the new fuel door, especially one that locks, I would really appreaciate it!

can u buy a cam lock at lowes or home depot and install it? they have cam locks that are made for doors less than a 1/4" thick. should work as long as there is a lip for the lock to catch on. cost about $4.

I guess you could, but won't look as good as the billet door. C-note though!

Id love to get one that works like my bmw's cover. Its a push in deal like mentioned but locks when you lock the doors.

Are there any aftermarket doors like that ?

Thanks for the suggestions all! I ended up going with a locking unit from AMI (All Sales Manufacturing Inc.) It mounted like the one that was on there. No holes to drill and it lined up nicely. The best part is the cam lock is all that holds it shut, no cheesy furniture cabinet magnetic mechanism to hold it shut. I wanted a locking unit before but didn't think it was worth spending $100 to get one like was on there but it locked (of course now at $3.50/gal. for diesel it'd be worth it if you ever had a tanks worth stolen!). Anyhow thanks again and if anyone is interested in getting one like this; I love mine!
