New truck equals new rolltop cover
Hey guys, I had a Retrax rolltop on my last truck. It worked pretty good up until about a year ago when about a foot from the canister it split all the way across, I'm guessing from the heat. I had it for about 6 1/2 years at that point. I just got a new truck and I'm looking for another rolltop cover. Other than the split, I really liked the Retrax but I'm kinda hesitant about buying another one because of that reason. I looked at the Pace Edwards Roll-n-lock and it has some kind of leather-like material on the top of it. Im wondering if this material will help keep the same kind of thing happening by providing a "sun block" to the cover. The Retrax has only a one year warr. verses a three year on the Roll-n-lock. But a drawback in my mind is that the Roll-n-lock has a spring. Which could cause problems after a while. So what do ya all think is the way to go?
Thanks,
Barry
