rear seat cup holders

i want to have the cup holders in the center fold down of the back seat. my 2002 has the crummy cup holders that fit in front of the rear bench seat.

is this a simple r&r with a later model rear seat? or is there some drilling and serious metal work involved?

thanks in advance,

johnnieboy

Re: rear seat cup holders

Do you have front buckets with the separate plastic center console?
If so...get the rear part of an Excursion console...it has cup holders built in. That's what i did.

Re: rear seat cup holders

Is it possible to order just the rear part with cupholders from a dealer?

Re: rear seat cup holders

If the rear fold down arm rest with cupholders were available from the dealer, would it be possible to get my son to grow enough to be legal for the rear shotgun or rear driver's side of the truck? The carseat/booster has me trapped, but it's a happy trapped as he is the only one in the truck with what amounts to a five point racing harness.
