Rear speaker install in F-350 Crew Cab???

Hello All,

Just bought a F-350 Crew Cab and wanted to replace the stock speakers. How do you remove (without breaking) the panel covering the rear speakers?

Thanks for the help,
Matt

Re: Rear speaker install in F-350 Crew Cab???

easiest with the seat out, you need a LARGE torx for the seat and another size for the seat belt on the pillar, remove those, then try and firmly grab the interior piece and pop it off, looking underneath for the next tab and either grab real close to that, or reach under and pry with your hand, (they do NOT Come off easy, I just went through it myself) I think the seat was a 60 and the seat belt was a 55, I MAY be wrong on the Seat belt, but I had to GO buy the 60, I had a 55 and a 65, and it was in between those sizes.

Seats are 55 so the seatbelt must be 60.

Re: Rear speaker install in F-350 Crew Cab???

Just take the seatbelt off. Then pop off the door sill cover...right where you step in. I think that overlaps the cover for the speaker. Then start popping it out from the bottom up. It should come right out...

The first time I did it I didn't remove the seat belt. It was a pain but I got it done...

good luck,
Steven

Layson has it right, but I did break one of my tabs, but I yanked hard instead of gentle prying.

Re: Rear speaker install in F-350 Crew Cab???

FWIW. The seats are a T55Plus, but a T55 will work.
