Re: speaker sizes in superduty cc

5x7 or 6x8 either will fit with not cutting or fitting needed. As you can see by my other posts I am in the same boat as you. I am upgrading my stereo but don't know a whole lot about this stuff. I read great things about the Infinity reference speakers. The ones for our truck are the 6812CF's. Many on the forum recommend them as well as stereo forums. They sell at most places for $100 per pair. I found them at a place on close out for $52 a pair with Free shipping. Let me know if you want the contact info. They said when there gone that's it!!! I am now learning about amps and trying to decide if I want or need one as well as what is a decent one to get. PM me with any ?

Re: speaker sizes in superduty cc

which size fits the front door speaker location and which size fits the rear of a crew cab (early 99) and do they make an adapter that will make a new pioneer 49001B head unit plug and play and is there a mounting kit that will fill the 2 din hole for a 1 din head unit???

Re: speaker sizes in superduty cc

I just bought a wiring harness and dash kit at Walmart last week - made by Scosche (sp?). Both of them worked perfectly with my Pioneer HU and the installation turned out great! I'll try to get some pics soon.

My next step will be new speakers...while the factory ones sound a little better with the Pioneer head unit, they still leave a lot to be desired.
