Switch Panel Fabrication?

I am interested in what people are doing to mount multiple accessory switches. Build a switch panel? Install it where?

I figure that, eventually, I will have eight +/- switches for light lights, inverters, compressor, et al. But what to construct and where to mount it tastefully is the big questions.

Anybody fabricate something like this? Have pictures? Willing to share?

Thanks.

Re: Switch Panel Fabrication?

i bought a diamond plate ramp bracket from tractor supply. i'm taking the little bag holder off and mounting it under the cup holder. it fits and wires have lots of space in that cubby where the bag holder is. i'm putting my turbo timer in that spot in fact. just had to notch out the lighter plug and it looks pretty neat. but then again, i'm big on diamondplate. sorry no pics yet.

Re: Switch Panel Fabrication?

I have seen that before haul_n_horses2, but I am not sure I want to do it in the overhead console.

BTW, I emailed the guy selling the switches about a week ago and have not heard anything back. Do you know if he is still around?

Man, with that link you are going to cost me some money... seeing some of the other stuff the ideas in my head are like a tornado swirling around. I have been to Waytek's site before, but did not think about it for this. Thanks!

All I can say is; WOW!

I would still like to fabricate my own. I got a lot of ideas there. But where to mount it.

I am starting to think that the best place would on hump pretty far forward as most of the switches will not be used daily. Build a box or something the contour of the hump.
