It's been a long time since I've been on here, glad to see most of you still around. My viair 380c went out on me about a week ago, it still pumps air but it is leaking out through the air filter so I can't keep any pressure in the tank. Anyone know what is causing this? Is there somewhere that sells parts for these compressors? I tried google but can't find anything. Appreciate the help!

My 450c has a slow leak so I put a check valve between the tank and pump. Cheaper than replacing the pump. Let us know if the filter works for you. I also put one between my airbags and the tank so if I loose air the bags will stay full.

Thanks guys! I think I'll go with the check valve idea that boathauler mentioned. Money is a little tight right now. I can't seem to find any replacement parts other than filters, relays, pressure switches etc..etc... Anyone know if these compressors are rebuildable? or do we need to buy a new comp. when they go kaput!!

My understanding is that they are completly rebuildable. Although I have never tried or looked for parts for one. Try calling them, they may have a kit you can purchase that would have all the wear parts to replace.

Damn, thats a good deal. I spoke to viair and they are rebuildable, they told me to take it apart to see what part went bad. I did that and found one of the valves (about as big as your thumb nail except it's about 1 inch long and paper thin) to be warped. I ordered 2 of them thinking it would cost a couple bucks apiece!!!?? Ha, $20 each!!! Can you believe that crap! I think I'll call them back and cancel that order and go with the braided hose w/check valve.
