2 1/2" lift on a 05 F250, will 315's (35) fit?

I raised my truck 2" in the rear and 2 1/2" in the front. I am going to get bigger tires and I plan to buy on line due to the money that I can save. Therfore I can't get a fit test for the right tire. I would like to have 315's (35's) but I am not sure if they will fit. Is anybody running 315's with the same set up that I have? If so do you have any rubbing or other problems? My only other option is going with a 285.

My dealer was selling stock trucks with 35" Nittos on the factory 18" rims.

[/ QUOTE ]Dosen't mean the tires actually fit. In LA, where it is more important to look good then be good, you see lots of trucks with tires that only don't rub due to their never seeing even a dirt road let alone some real 4x4ing. You can fit a pretty big tire as long as the suspension isn't cycled more then an inch or so. Now for real world use the tire needs to clear at full compresion of the suspension as well as from lock to lock in the steering at the same time.

Re: 2 1/2" lift on a 05 F250, will 315's (35) fit?

As far as the rim size, I was going to use a 8" rim. This seems to be what is recommended.
As far as how I use the truck. I use four wheel drive alot. With my truck I tow and I haul heavy loads and I use four wheel drive alot when hunting. My big concern is - will the tire rub when the suspension is compressed? I don't tear my truck up but I use it as a 4X4, I bought it to get me where I want to go towing whatever I want. The only reason for the lift was to get a little more height so that I won't drag the underside while going where I need to go. Thanks for the replies. I want to buy tires this week so I am anxious to hear what everyone else has to say. If not the 315's the only other choice I see is a 285. Maybe a little small?
