Exclamation 2003 F250 6.0 Defrost vents

Truck: 2003 F250 6.0 - 173,000 miles

Upon starting my truck one night I turned it over and let the fuel pump and glow plugs heat up before turning the engine on, immediatly I heard a noise coming from under the hood and it was very loud, opened the hood and it was my vacuum pump

Video of the noise it was making:

It has never done that before but I didn't think anything of it, now driving down the road I went to put my A/C on and realized it was only blowing out of the defrost vents and will not come out of any other of the vents.

My 4WD still works and so does my cruise control , so does that mean the vacuum pump isn't the problem or is it something to do with my AC? Would buying a new vacuum pump solve this problem so I can have A/C through my vents again?

That pump doesn't sound right and if the pump isn't working the air will only blow out the defrost vents. It is probably the vacum pump or you might have a hole in a vacum line somewhere.

But if the pump totally quit out wouldnt my cruise control and 4wd stop working as well? They both work perfectly, the only problem is my AC is only coming out of my defrost vents no matter what setting it is on, how do I check for a hole?
