2004 dually lift questions

Would like to lift my 04 dually but have some questions. I do not want a huge lift 4 inches max.

1) What is a good lift?
2) What is a good tire that you can use all around on the dually?
3) Do the rear tires require a space of some sort when you increase the size.
4) If i do not lift the truck and go with 285's or 295's will it give the truck a better look than the stock.

For those of you that have lifted them just look for tips. I dont want a huge lift just like the way the duallys look with a little bit of lift...
