Hi all-- I've seen the thread on this subject & am hoping to not re-hash the particulars or qualification questions. There are already 160 replies & questions the other thread. What I am hoping for is this thread could cover cost & vital info only!!!!
So::::::
Which plan did you get? 13 or 21
Did you cover a current of future edition of a plow?
What did you pay?
When did you get it?
Which motor are you covering? 7.3/6.0/6.4
Which dealer did you get it from?
Who did you talk to?
You can only get the 21 point if you are on under 36K miles.
The dealer cost was $1270, I hear it has gone up to $1370. Suggested Retail Price by Ford is $2270.
I got mine (6.0L) (and so did a whoile of bunch of other folks here) from Gjovick Apache Ford of Sandwich IL (815 786 3333 ask for the finance manager) for $100 over the dealer cost.
I have blown 5 injectors after 100,000 miles (and the original warranty) and the extended warranty paid for all of them. On one, I was down in Lubbock TX and they reimbursed me for the motel room.
It is a very good deal for a very bad situation(6.0L engine).

I was told earlier this week the 21 pt cost is $1,750. This was from a finance manager that sells on ford owner forums.
Told a prem care, $100 deductable 5yr/100k's cost is $1,245.
I am the finance mangager at a Ford dealership in Alabama. Here is the bottom line. On the 13 point coverage cost is $1520.00, on the 21 point coverage cost is $1750.00 plus an extra $100.00 if the policy is purchased beyond 12 months 12K miles from original in service date. If anyone is interested I will sell these policies at $50.00 over cost and we can do the paperwork by mail or by fax. Think this is a very reasonable price for so much coverage. We see service tickets here everyday on diesel trucks exceeding $2000.00. Let me know if I can be of service to any of you. Call Kevin Hooper at 256-232-4242

look, i've been watching this site for a very long time. I remember when there use to be vendors on here like Lone Star Ford in Houston that listed very good deals. I'm no troll, i'm just passing along a good deal. I saw his post after searching for a extended warranty. I live in Houston and he's in Alabama and I don't know him. I called and he beat every price from many other dealers. All you are risking is a phone call, that's it.
I just bought a warranty from my local ford dealer. I told them that I knew what the 21 point cost and I would not pay more than 1750. He told me that they had a deal with another warranty company. He offered me a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty for 1800 plus tax. It covers way more than 21 points and it was 0 deductible. It can be used at any dealer. It covers everything I could have worried about. Before I bought it I talked to the service department and they said it was a great warranty. Since my truck is 5 years old and has 43,000 miles on it I new the 10/100,000 was a perfect fit.

Is that a Ford ESP deal, or a 3rd party aftermarket warranty?

To the person that bought the aftermarket warranty from local Ford dealer, "don't be fooled", the aftermarket warranty will not automatically be honored by any Ford dealer. It's up to each dealer whether he wants to deal with a thrid party warranty company. Most dealers won't do it because these aftermarkets do not want to pay the technicians thier regular hourly rate and will not pay retail for replacement parts. So, buy one at your own risk. With the Ford ESP it will be honored at any Ford, Lincoln or Mercury dealer in the United States or Canada, no questions asked. I see it every week here in our store, customer has a aftermarket warranty and it will have all kinds of fine print to get out of paying a claim, such as if it was a leaking gasket that caused the failure, they will ot honor the claim, jus't one example. We are still offering our warrantys as follows: 21 point coverage still in original bumper to bumper warranty is $1850.00 or 13 point coverage if the truck is still in the 5 year/100,000 mile engine warranty is $1620.00. If truck is over 12 months/12000 miles from original in service date there is a $100.00 surcharge. If anyone offers to beat this price on a true Ford ESP go ahead and buy it. If I can help you give me a call at 256-232-4242
