My sunglass holder door broke off from the overhead consol, so I went down to the nearest dealer to order one. I'm figuring 20 bucks at best. When the parts guy told me 80 dollars I laughed at him at told him his computer must be wrong. He confirmed it and told me that the whole consol is over $500. Now were talking about a tiny plastic door here not a tire or something. I guess ford is trying to recoup all the money they lost with the warranty costs of the 6.0.

Obviously, you should shop around. Note that some dealers charge more than
MSRP for Mother Ford's parts... My dealer charges about 10 to 11% more than
I just looked at http://www.firstfordparts.com and they show the entire
console housing $364.63 MSRP and their discounted price at $262.64 for the
02 - 03 MY , (before their excessive shipping & handling fees). They also have
another overhead console entry for the 02-04 MY that is $84.64 discounted.
Not sure just what's going on there...
If you got the Ford P/N for the sunglass holder door, you might punch it
into the firstfordparts website and see what they come up with... There
are other online discount Ford parts sources too... Some of these guys
are dealerships doing discounted Internet Ford parts sales...

I picked up a IC boot (turbo to IC tube) just in case mine, which is deformed and appeared pinched by the clamp (now cut in 2) popped off while towing before I can get it in to have that also replaced.
Today I noticed the motor sounded very airy when boost got up to 20+ and or the motor was under a heavy load. Got out and checked and sure enough, mine didn't go pop, it's ripped with about a 1/2" hole releasing boost.
The moral of the story is, that little 4" boot that I bought as a back up cost me $91. It's going in to get that and a few other things taken care of, but that boot is going back to the parts counter for a refund 'cause Ford can replace that thing that was either installed incorrectly or is just junk.

For some reason, I only paid $33 for mine from Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent WA last year through that same link above. Call them at: (don't know the area code) 852-3340 - maybe the price is still the same.
My invoice says part number 2C3Z 25519A70 AAC (graphite color)
33.17 plus 5.95 shipping to Canada.
I now have a spare console minus the sunglass door!
BTW: That website is the cheapest place to get factory parts.
I ran into the same thing. I found a guy who is always selling them on ebay and they were going for about $135+. I checked out some of the online parts places and couldn't find the part in their drill down listings but I emailed and got a quick reply and a price of 85$ if I remember correctly. Got it Here. Good people to deal with, also got a go pedal from them, a lot cheaper than the dealer. Dealer wanted $85 to read the code, $185 for the new pedal with TPS and 2 hours install at $90+ per hour for labor. I got it for around $100 with shipping put it in in ten minutes and had the code cleared at Autozone.

Mine broke today. I'm wondering whether to order the whole console, figuring I'll probably break the whole thing trying to figure out how to get it apart. Would someone mind sharing how it comes apart? I would appreciate it!
