ABS light on

My abs light has been on for about 6 months. I can bleed the brakes and it will go off for a minute and come back on . Anyone have an idea of what I can do. Brakes work fine just aggrivating.

Likely not a bleeding problem. Have you had the system open for any reason besides bleeding? Does it come on after start up with the truck not moving or does it come on when you move? Makes a difference for diag purposes. If it comes on when not moving and right when you start itis will likely be a control problem ie computer. If it comes on when you drive a few feet the problem is likely a wheel speed sensor.

Had the light come on in the DRW a while back. The light would be on about 95% of the time and when the little didn't come on was when things didn't feel right. The brakes would pulsate and feel really spongy when the light was not on. I'd quick turn the truck off and back on and usually the light would come back on and everything worked fine.

My mechanic ran the code for the speed sensor in the rear axle. $25 part, not too bad.
