Dealer replaced my peeling F350 badges today. They even washed the truck and dressed the tires. It looks real good. My wife actually picked it up from the dealership so I haven't driven it yet. I'm pretty sure the new badges will be good for another 20 horses!

We use to wash service vehicles and the dealership I worked at, till people started accusing us of scratching the vehicles. We stopped washing cars.
We could wash brand new cars all day and not scratch one. But customer sees a scratch on there car that hasn't been washed in a year and we did it. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] And you have to understand, the county I live in has more dirt roads than any other in the state, so there are a few dirty cars running around. Some people are idiots and ruin it for everyone.

This is the first time they ever washed it while it was in for any service. Maybe had something to do with replacing the badges. Or maybe they felt sorry for the truck. It was awfully dirty on the outside. I think it's been at least 3 weeks since it was really washed. I did let it sit out in a hard rain last week but was too busy (you can also say lazy) to really wash it. BTW, it looks like they also swept it out. But the windows still have doggie nose prints on them, so I guess I'll have to take care of that myself.

Three weeks!! I didn't wash my 01 for three years!! When I did everyone thought I had bought a New truck!! The more dirt the fewer Scratches!!

Well I park my truck in a carport that is attached to my horse barn. It gets pretty dusty quickly. A light shower of rain actually turns to mud on the truck. But having the arizona beige color helps hide the dirt...from a distance anyhow. After three weeks, it starts to look pretty bad and it's overall performance just seems to go downhill. There's nothing like a little soap and water to make it run better.
