ANY TIPS FOR SCRATCH REPAIR? I HAVE THE PAINT.

Hello gents, I went to NAPA yesterday and had them brew up some Ext Paint code: FN, Ford Toreador Red paint in a nice little bottle for me. The little bottle has a brush on the cap and is for touch ups.

How do I get the scratches to go away as much as possible?
I took one ding (circular in shape) dobbed a small amount on there, let it dry for a sec, and then buffed it a bit with my shirt, and it COMPLETELY dissapeared. This was all the way down to the metal too.

I haven't had such luck with long scratches though, it seems to leave a streak of different colored paint humped up when I do those. I got one to dissapear, but no dice on the other scratches, looks like crap.

I know I should start VERY thin, and kinda build it up, what else am I doing wrong?

What temp should the paint, vehicle etc be?

Thanks.

I have been using this stuff for many years and it works like a charm.

You use your normal touch up paint, let it dry awhile, and use the blob remover as directed and low and behold, if the paint matches, you won't see the scratch or nick.

Try it you will like it.

That's awesome, I may have to give it a try. Know any places that carry it, or do you have to order it?

How does it hold up, like if you use a pressure washer?
