my trucks seat belt will lock at the slightest provocation. i cant even lean forward to look over my shoulder and it locks up. it is VERY annoying! is there any way to adjust this so it doesnt happen so easy?

even if the warrenty on the truck has been taken away due to an accident? BTW thanks for the replies.

[/ QUOTE ]This is new to me?I dont think that they can do such a thing providing it was repaired at a Certified shop or Unless it was Totalled or a salvage vehicle.
it is a salvage truck, although it didnt sustain major damage, the state it came from (at least as far as i can tell on the title) writes salvage on anything damaged over 5000.00. mine couldnt have been much more than that in damage, and i certainly fixed it for less.

I asked the dealer about this very issue and they said the sensitivity was normal. There were a few times I almost pulled a muscle when the seat belt rejected my attempt to lean forward rapidly!!
Beyond my better judgment. take the pillar cover off the driver side post. with the bigger star bit take off the seat belt roller, one piece holding it upside down you will see a keeper or lock as some call it when you pull the seat belt fast it catches the roller, some have wired this hook up so it does not catch as quick but it may just be dirty so stray it with air not WD40. air will cleans the lent out. Also if the unit is not straight it will catch quicker.
