anybody used one of these kits. i'm moving back east at the end of this summer and was going to try and put a heated seat into my 2000 f250 xlt
install looks relatively straight forward, just a matter of taking the seat out and apart and finding a keyed power source to tap into. and they are priced better than i dared to expect. so has anybody used one?
I've used them and love it. You don't even need to find a keyed voltage source. Their add on kits come with a pressure switch that will turn off if you get out of the seat.
Spend the extra little bit and buy the install kit. It comes with new hog rings, hog ring pliers, and a drill bit to mount your switch.

I set aside an entire day to just do the driver side. It seems like I was done by lunch. I was surprised at how easy it was having never done any upholstery work before. The hardest part was getting the lumbar adjustment knob off (it just pulls straight off).
There's a customer power access wire zip tied up near the OBDII connector if you haven't used it yet. Otherwise, maybe run a fused power from the battery using the factory pass thru wiring at the firewall, or just a simple fuse tap.
Unbolt the seat, peel the arm rest cover (if captains chairs) from behind the pivot point to expose the screw at the pivot point. Remove screw and arm rest. Then take the upper and lower half of the seat apart and remove the seat covers. Use wire cutters and just snip the old hog rings. The cover comes off easy, and the install kit puts it back together pretty easy.
