Applying a decal/sticker

Hey, I know this is a very random question, but yesterday I bought a 10x4 cowboy up die-cut decal for my truck with a whole bunch of little details in it and when I went to put it on a few minutes ago I started to peel the wax paper off all of the sticker stuck to it. Is there some sort of way or technique to take off the wax paper w/o it sticking?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: Applying a decal/sticker

You might beable to apply some soapy water and squeegie the sticker on. Get all the bubbles out of it...Then wait for it to dry...might beable to use a hairdryer and then peal it off.

But make sure the paint is clean...so might want to clean up the surface with alcohol??

good luck,
Steven

Re: Applying a decal/sticker

If there is wax paper, the sticker, and then a mask, then you can lay the sticker face down, hold the mask with one hand and fold over the wax paper and slowly peel it off with your other hand. Since the front of the sticker(the non sticky side) will be stuck to the mask, make sure you keep it flat on the table while peeling the wax paper. If the wax paper tears, use and an exacto to pull the remaining paper off the sticky side of the sticker. Does this make sense? It is so much easier to show someone in person than in an e-mail. I hope this helps, let me know...

Re: Applying a decal/sticker

Use a old credit card or something somewhat stiff but plyable to squeegee over the masking part (face of the decal). This should make it stick better to the masking. If that does not work, lay the decal on it's back (on the masking side) and slowly peel the wax paper side off from one corner while keeping it as low as possible.
