brake master cylender leak

on the master cylender there are 2 electrical conectors. one is for the fluid low light and the other??? its on the bottom and i have a leak from there. my guess is the brake control for the cruise control because after i unhooked it my cruise control didnt work anymore. just a guess though

Re: brake master cylender leak

Correct, that pressure switch on the front is to disable cruise control. It was the one that the recall was for on the gassers catching on fire. They were wired so they were always hot, but the diesels are wired key-on hot, so it's not a big an issue. But if it's leaking, I'd be replacing it. For one thing, it's leaking brake fluid, which is important to keep in the system, and another, apparently it can cause a short/fire. Either is reason enough to take care of it.
