Brakelights issues

I have searched but haven't found a thread describing my issue. Seems like the brake lights are
working when the truck is off and when it first starts up but sometime after I start driving, they stop
working. After I shut the truck off and wait a min or two, they will start working again. I thought it was my turbo timer so I unplugged the power but I haven't completely ruled out something wrong with it. I don't think it's a wire problem or anything in the column. Any suggestions?

So I have unplugged the brake controller, turbo timer and replaced the brake switch on the pedal. Still having the same problem. I have not pulled the column apart yet but I guess thats my next step. Third brake light always works. Anyone have any other suggestions? They seem to work everytime when the truck is off but only when its running do they stop working...
