for whatever reason , my brake lights will not shut off . is there a warning like this if theres a caliper problem . theres no warning light on the dash about brake problem . all dash lights work . when brake pedals depressed , lights stay same voltage / intensity . doesn't get brighter , hazzards work still . even with the switch on the brake pedal unpluged , tail lamps / stop / running lights , i dont know for sure but i think its brake lights , still lit up . part store closed , or i was gona replace the switch on pedal . had to unplug the harness at the rear bumper area to shut tail lights off . gona have to fix it in the mornin i guess . it got too dark , too frustating , too ca ca cold , sorting thru owners guide to check the fuse box locations under the hood . did find a blown power point fuse , thats been out since the radar detecter surge . electrical problems are the worst ... any ideas

It's most likely your brake pedal switch. The hazard/turn signals get fed separately thru the multifunction switch, bypassing the brake pedal switch. If the switch is stuck closed, the brake lights will stay on, but will flash if you press the hazard switch or activate the turn signal.
to see that truck sitting there and not be able to just get in it and whip it good , down the road . sooo...we unplugged the third , above eye line light , on the truck cap . no dice , they still wont go off . i didn't think to check the one on the cab . not sure if that one working or not . sent my boys to autobone to get a pedal switch for 12$ . hopefully that will be the fix . mite be time to try out that war antee .
we just got the 6.0 trans cooler too , and i was wanting to do that ! but nooo , i have to troubleshoot on my upgradeday .
the tranny cooler that just got here in the mail , is massive ! i cant believe how big that sucker is ! it looked smaller in the pics ... like an ez out / ez in , but its looking alittle more involved than i thought ...
when the lights are figured out , we'll giv a shout...thanks for the ideas

well i could , and then it wouldn't appear that im so ignoreant that the brake lights were on because i was toggleing the trailer brakes to show the kid how it worked ,while we was rolling down the highway , and it didn't even dawn on me that the thumb wheel didnt spring back to the off spot completely . just that last .010 of an inch open and it only took 2 hours of horseing around ...
anyway thanks for the attention , hope i can return the fav someday ...
time for the trans cooler install

im thinking yashimoto or something like that . i just spent 4 hours putting a stereo with a backup camera and dvd player in it , and some little girl ran a red and totaled it tonight . my backs killing me from standing on the breaks so hard . it poped the rear caliper or line , cuz there was oil all over back wheel . oh well , thems the brakes ...
