I have a 02 F-350 crew cab short bed with an 8 inch lift and am running 37" Toyos. I recently dropped the truck off at a local brake shop for new front brakes and have had nothing but trouble with them since.
The brakes have never squeaked in the year and half I have had the truck and now post brake job they almost squeal non stop when the brakes are applied.
The shop first replaced the brake pads, nothing else. = squeaking brakes
Pads and new rotors = squeaking brakes
Today, new pads, rotors from visit #2 and new calipers = squeaking brakes.
The shop also replaced the front left wheel bearing which was in need of repair.
The pads and calipers are AC DELCO and the rotors are from Ford.
The truck has 130,000 miles on it and I am at a loss now. The brake shop says that they have no idea why they are squeaking and really dont know what to do next.
I was told by someone that they should have turned the new rotors prior to putting them on the truck, but had not heard that anywhere before. Truth to this?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, there really is nothing worse that brakes that squeak after a full replacement!
Wheel bearing? (Did they replace the hub? Can't replace the bearings on our trucks,,,) Anyway, did they use semi metallic pads? Or Ceramic pads? If they used Ceramic I would maybe make them put in a good set of Performance friction pads. (Ceramic won't cause brake dust, but can me noisy from what I hear...)

I am not sure of the type of brake pads, I will ask. I should note that I am getting tons of brake dust off of these new pads, which I never have had before.
I was told they replaced the bearing, but it must have been the hub. I have the manual hubs on the truck, is this what they were to have replaced?

They most likely replaced the unitized hub/bearing assembly. It bolts to the steering knuckle and contains the wheel bearings and the wheel flange that the rotor mounts on. They're non-serviceable. The locking hub is separate and installs on the outside of the hub/bearing assembly.
make sure the pins, the calipers bolt to are free floating. I would guess they are not, this would be causing the pads to stay in contact with the rotor, hence the excessive dust and constant squeal.

The truck was back in today, with new semi metallic pads put in. I ordered a new set of Hawk pads and will put those in as soon as they arrive. They are now thinking that it may be a pinched brake hose causing the one side to have more pressure than the other.
Starting yesterday, even under easy braking the truck is pulling to the left, which is the side making all of the noise.

This is frustrating.
Have they made sure the slide pins are moving freely & are they using the proper grease on them?
