CD Stuck in Stock player

Darling wife tried to load two CD's in a single player now one is stuck. The dealer says this is three hours labor to fix.

Can anyone tell me how to get it out o there. FYI the player is indicating there is nothing in there but there is.

Thanks,

Paul

Re: CD Stuck in Stock player

Probably not the answer you were looking for but.........

If you can't get it out, it would be cheaper to replace the player than pay for 3hours shop time. I am sure that there are lot's of these on ebay for cheap that have been replaced by non original equip.

Re: CD Stuck in Stock player

I agree & don't intend to pay anybody to repair. I an hoping or a fairly simple solution. The radio works fine

I called Ford and they were useless. The guy told me to call Visteon the mfg. Visteon could not even help me out with a manual

Re: CD Stuck in Stock player

When my CD's would get stuck in my stock six disk changer i would stick a knife in there and fish one out. I'd highly recommend getting an aftermarket system. Anything sounds better than the stock crap.

Re: CD Stuck in Stock player

In the past when this has occurred in my household, the good old butter knife has saved the day. You may scratch the disc, but it's cheaper than a new unit. Someone else told me that if you use thin, two-sided tape on the knife blade, it makes extraction easier, but I have been able to do it without the tape. 3 hours is a crock...
