I picked up some nice '02 headlights for my '99. They are in great condition but like any used headlights they some haze, not much and hardly noticeable. What I can use to really clean these up? Some type of glass polishing compound?
thanks,
Todd.
If the haze is on the outside of a plastic headlight lens, then there is a plastic polish that you can find at most auto parts stores.
I recently bought a small single use packet for a couple bucks and used it on the brown, hazy headlight lenses on a 12 year old Ranger. The polish took off 90% of the discoloration. If you polish up those 3 year old lenses, they should look brand new!
Try Maguires Plastic Polish. I've used it on my headlight lenses and they look like new in a few minutes. I've also used it on my fish finder screens and it had done a remarkable job removing fine scratches as well. You can pick it up at Wal-Mart, Pep Boys almost any auto parts store should have it.
