The mechanism that controls the vents and climate control choices has become very sluggish on my 2002 F-250. It seems to default to defrost and when I switch to vent or bi-level air, it takes several seconds to make the change. The response used to be instantaneous. Since the truck is no longer under warranty, I was wondering what is involved in making repairs. I am assuming it requires pulling the dash, which I am reluctant to do. Thanks.
Also check your hoses going to the hubs if you have 4wf and ESOF. They are prone to rotting and leaking. Defaulting to defrost is a common vac. leak issue.
