Did a search, but nothing came up. 2004 f250 cc. 6.0l . I was wondering if there is a way to make the dash lights brighter? Maybe add some more, or change out dimmer pot or something? Figured someone on here has already done it. Thanks in advance for your help.
The lamps in the instrument panel and in the A/C cluster are a stock 2W #194 lamp. Change these out to a LL (long life version if you can find it) 3W # 168 lamp. This will brighten up your dash lights.

I second replacing all of the dash bulbs. I did this about a year ago and it made a HUGH improvment.

Seems like a dozen or less bulbs were needed, but I only replaced the cluster illumination lamps, not the indicator lamps. The attached pictures show the back of the cluster, and the other pix shows a lamp and holder once removed. The color of the holder has no bearing on the lamps function. The old bulbs had a silver coating on the inide of the glass, causing them be dim - probably vaporized material from the bulb filament.

I just bought a 2006 F-250 6.0L I can't see instrument panel in day light. Deal er say this is normal. How can I increase back lighting during day time. It's like looking into a black hole during day light.
