DIH Parking Brake Pictures

Often people have questions about the DIH brake and I found some pictures that I had. I threw them up in a Webshots album in case some people want to bookmark it for future reference.

For the newbees, "DIH" = drum in hat, which is the drum brakes inside the rear disk brake rotors on '99-up SuperDuty pickups. The DIH brakes are the emergency or parking brake on our trucks. I don't see the disk rotor in the photos Jack linked to, but I'm sure they're there somewhere.

Everybody's a critic. Your right Smokey, I'll unbox some of the rear rotors I have in the garage and get some pictures.

When you adjust the prking brakes do you turn the star "up"? Mine won't hold anymore. They probably need to be replaced and the limited slip needs to be rebuilt. Would be good to do them at the same time I'm guessing.

The DRWs use wider shoes and therefore longer hold down springs. Otherwise the same.
