Dinging just won't stop???

I have a feeling this is an easy fix.
Everytime I get in my truck and start it up it dings at me 5 times and does it 4 times. So 20 dings. I know the truck dings if the door is open, but it isn't open, and sometimes it will start to ding while I am driving. Everything is working that I can tell?

Any ideas?

Does your open door light ever come on? It might be burnt out - that in combination with a sticking door switch would do what you are experiencing. Try spraying all your door latches with WD40 - and if the bulb doesn't come on when the door is open - you probably had the problem long enough to burn the bulb out....

If that doesn't fix it - you could always shoot your truck in the dinger....

If that is the case (seat belt dinger) on my '02 I just unplugged the cable underneath the seat and it quits dinging...

Okay, I think I am going to check the door switches, and make sure the door ajar light comes on. As far as the seat belt chime I always wear my seat belt and the light for that always goes out. But I will unplug that too if the door switches are all good.
IF not I will shoot my truck in the dinger!

spray the door latches with the miracle forumula WD 40 i had the same problem and did this and fixed it like a charm......it does wonders

I will spray the latches tom.
The door ajar light works, and it goes out when the doors close, checked both doors. Seat belt light works and it goes out when the drivers belt is locked.
IS there anything else to look at? THat chime is only for the seat belts and doors being open?

That might have something to do with the airbag system.

There is a black wire with a pink tracer under the dash that you can snip,worked
for me when I wanted to listen to the radio with the doors open and not hear
the dinging.
