Do your crew rear seats have headrests?

I've noticed on most Lariat packaged crew interiors that the rear seats have a headrest on the outer seats positions. Not on mine though and there aren't any mounting tubes either? Was this an option or something? Having people ride back there with their heads so close to the glass doesn't give me a warm fuzzy?

Thanks

I have a 2007 XLT and it has rear head rests.
I believe my 2004 Lariat had them too.
I don't think my 2003 Lariat had them but now I am really stretching my memory.
Three was never an option for them in any year to my knowledge.

If I remember correctly, they started using them with the 2004 models.

Ya, I have considered replacing mine with the headrest seat too, but then I think back to all the trucks we had growing up, and not a single one had headrests either for the crewcabs or regular cabs........just head against the glass......or the gun rack.

2004 to present.

When they began installing the flip-up rear seats/utility tray, they put head rests on them.

My 2003 doesn't have them. Thankfully, my kids are still too small to care.

Heck the first truck I ever had, had the GAS TANK IN THE CAB, behind the seat,,, why worry about a little glass in your hair! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

I understand your concern,,, however we can't go through life worrying about every little "WHAT IF",, ya know? Life would be very very stressful if that was the case.
If you have the money, replace it, if you are that worried about, make everyone in the back wear bicycle helmets, as mentioned above!
