drain valve for diesel filter

Not sure if this is even available but thought I would ask. I am looking for a quick drain to drain off water from the fuel pump on my 2004 f350 6.0 drw. It uses a star fitting #40 and Its so close to the 4x4 drive shaft that its hard to get it in the hole with the socket drive. i am afraid after several drains it will become stripped. So is there any of this available. I hope you are understanding what i am asking. bleed off valve? thanks

You talking about this:

Diesel Technician Society

If so, buy it here: HFCM Drain Plug

Albin's right, you want the IH drain plug. AND, don't use a wrench on it. You'll notice it has an o-ring on it? That's the seal. There's no reason to tighte it (or the original plug) thighter than "snug" finger tight. The hex fitting is a 6mm hex key.

There is no way of adapting a vlave & make it work. The valve idea adds a lip that wil not allow all the contaminates to flow out of the hole.

thats what i am talking about. mine is smooth and you must use the star wrench to remove it. it does not have the long shaft on it as it just stops at the threads. i dont tighten it more than snug but in order to still snug it, it does not fit all the way in as the driveshaft 4x4 is in the way to use the star.

ok. thanks thought id ask if there was a quicker and easier way to drain it off. I only snug fit it as its tight withthe wrench but after time i can see it getting sloppy.
