Just received an unsolicited offer for an extended warranty supposedly to cover the engine/drivetrain on my 99 PSD. Any of these things worth a look-see? If so, anybody had any experiences they're willing to share and/or companies to deal with?
I bought one that covers my truck 7yrs or 75 k miles,
But doing the mods I did to my truck voided it,
now the money I spent on it I think was 1700 could have paid for most of the stuff I did to my truck, and the money I spent on the stuff I did to my truck would have been a pretty good size payment towards a *****en tranny, which I will probalby be buying in the near future due to the increased HP.
so I guess we can all say "sucks to be me".

Save your money - you'll likely be VERY happy you did. Aftermarket insurance policies (they're NOT warranties), are a big scam that everybody wants to sell you. From cameras to TV's to cars, they all know they'll come out ahead selling you a policy.
MOST of the aftermarket policies are a joke. They just look for any excuse to not pay for the repair and some even require their adjuster look at the car to make sure the tech made the correct diagnosis. Even if they do agree, I have heard of them pro rating the payment based on mileage and use. We are starting to see the same thing on the marine engine side.
