Folding rear bench seat?

I have a 2002 F 350 CC, and I was wondering if there is any way to make the rear bench seat fold down to a flat surface. Kind of like the F 150 Super Crews do. Maybe a bracket change, or even a seat swap? I just wish that it folded down into a flat area for some cargo. Has anyone tried this yet?

Re: Folding rear bench seat?

There is a guy who makes them and sells them on Ebay for about 7-800 bucks. I also have an 02 and it would be nice to have a folding seat. I thought that the CC without leather did fold flat. There has to be a way to make/modify brackets to allow the seat to fold. sounds like a ne project.........

Re: Folding rear bench seat?

I would try to get a "flex-fold" seat like the '05s have, maybe at a junkyard if you can find a wrecked one. I'm not sure but the '04s might have had this seat as well. I really like mine, it folds flat or you can fold the bottom up, and there is a cargo platform that folds out.

Re: Folding rear bench seat?

Hey wfdbackdraft,

I have an aftermarket rear seat replacement that folds out flat into a bed. It came from Classy Chassis in Indiana. We really like it, we carry to big dogs with us when we travel and it gives them a nice flat area to lay on. I think they are around $600 - $700 in cloth.

Re: Folding rear bench seat?

water_junky, that is really nice!! Does the back also fold forward like stock?

You know, I never knew how many things I needed for my truck until I came to this site...

Re: Folding rear bench seat?

Hey SkySkiJason,

It doesn't fold forwards, but you push a button and it slides forward electrically.

So I take by your name that you SkySki? I do to, have been for about 6 - 7 years.
