Front end links...

I've been feeling a rattle in the floorboards, so I guess it's time to replace the end links.

Can I get replacement bushings or do I need to go to the dealer and get the whole link? I've tried a couple parts places with no luck.

Jason

You can just do the bushings, part number from Energy Suspension Bushings is 4.5186G and they are Polyurethane vs. stock rubber... Typically about $32.00 for the kit or so if I remember right...

Like Steve said go w/ the Energy Suspension bushings. It'll be the best thing you ever did.I replaced my links a couple of times before I found out about their kit, man I wish I knew a long time ago.

Thanks fellas. Hopefully the kit will cure the "rattles".

Kit ordered. I took the complete swaybar off, now wondering how on earth do you get the upper bolts out of the bushing assembly.?? the bushings appear to be intergral to the end link assembly? anyone have an idea? press? I don't want to damage the endlink.

Just did mine today. I used a hydraulic press to get the bushings out. They are in there pretty tight.

You can use a press, but you can get the bolts out w/ a hammer.Just thread a nut on the end to prevent damage to the threads and it'll pop right out.

Don't worry about the threads, you won't be reusing the shoulder bolts with the ES bushing kit. Just get out the hammer and whale away.

My kit did not come with shoulder bolts. I believe you have to reuse them.

I bet the next question you ask will be "What order do I put the washers/bushings in?"

Here is a great resource as well as your ANSWER

My kit didn't come w/ bolts either, I had to reuse the factory ones.
