General Question about Rotors

Any clarification why Napa sells different size rotors for the front and back. I called Ford and they told me that the rotor for the front is the same as the back. I looked on Auto Zone and they sell just one rotor same size for the front and back. Then I also noticed that powerslot rotors have different sizes for the front then they do for the back.

The reason I am asking is that I have notice the back rotors are cheeper then the front. If the manufacture is puts the same size on the front as on the back can I just put back rotors on all front?

You can't use the front rotor in the rear because the emergency brake is the drum brake style that runs along the inside of the 'hat'. The front doesn't have this. 1 extra machined surface needed.

Motorcraft lists the following part numbers;

Front rotors BR89
Rear rotors BR94

MOTORCRAFT® FULL LINE CATALOG OF PARTS FOR FORD, LINCOLN OR MERCURY VEHICLES

I just replaced mine, they're different as stated above..
