How to change glass part of the mirror?

Does anyone knows how to pop off the back cover of the mirror?
I've got the extendable tow mirrors.
How to take off the glass part of the mirror?

Re: How to change glass part of the mirror?

Are you talking about taking the mirror apart (separating the glass from its black plastic backing) or taking the whole mirror part out of the mirror housing (leaving the actual glass intact in its black backing).

To just pull the mirror out of the housing, just point it to one side and genly pull. To separate the mirror from the black backing... well others can cover that. It involves a heat gun and cutting the mirror out of the black part, IIRC. A professional glass shop can do it. All I've done is take the mirror out of the housing, and you just gently yank to do that.
