How do you replace driver side headlight?

Strange issue. The passenger side headlight went out. I took it out, then the passenger headlight didn't work. I needed at least one light so I put the passenger light back in and now the passenger side works and the driver side is not working.

I can only get my hand in far enough to turn the plastic gizmo on the driver side. The battery compartment is in the way. Is there a way to take the whole glass part off? How can I get the bulb out?

Thanks!

You can remove the airbox, and the battery. It will only take you a few minutes and then you have ez access to the back of the light. While you have the airbox out you might as well install this!

if the same as an 01 should be 2 metal clips in the top rear of the light. they are bent at a 90 degree angel so you can grab them and pull up about a third inch. the light should fall to the ground, hopefully being stopped by the wires so get ready to catch it.
