Introduction and request for good dealership in DFW Texas.

Hello all, I have been lurking here for a while and have been learning a bunch. A little background of a situation I am having. I have an 03 F-250 PSD 4x4CC that I bought used in November 77,300 miles. At time of purchase it had an oil leak that the dealer said it would repair. They made the repairs on it and I picked it up. After a couple of weeks of driving the truck occasionally I noticed another leak. After talking with the dealership I bought it from they said if it was leaking from the same place they would repair it for free. If not I would have to pay the $100 ded. on the warranty repair. After the repair it was told to me it was something different and that I owed $100. Which was not a big deal until I noticed the same labor description and seal kit used. Both invoices said the high pressure pump was leaking and needed resealing. So I did not have to pay the $100 but I feel that dealership was trying to "rob me" of $100 and would not like to do any more biss. with them. Well guess what now it is a couple weeks later again and it is leaking again. Where in the South DFW area is a good shop? Nichols,Grand Prarie Ford,or Arendale? Thanks JJ

I would take it back to the original dealer with all the paper work and and them to fix the leak and give you your $100 back. Don't let them get away without fixing the original leak.

Oh, Welcome to The Diesel Stop

Re: Introduction and request for good dealership in DFW Texas.

I did not end up having to pay the $100. Their first try to make the repairs was when I bought it. The second time they said it would be free if it was the same repair which it was and they tried to charge me for it the second time. But after I talked with the service manager about it he did not charge me. I would like to find another dealer that I can start a relationship with that will not try to "rob me". I would rather pay the $100 ded. at another dealership and let them make the waranty money.Rather than to ever step foot on the first lot again. Thanks JJ

Re: Introduction and request for good dealership in DFW Texas.

If I needed a Ford dealer in the DFW area, I'd drive across town to Prestige Ford in Garland. It's one of the biggest Ford dealerships in the world, and the owner/operator is a great guy named Jerry Reynolds. Jerry pays out the big bucks every year to pay for really-good groceries we put away at the big PowerStroke rally at Lake Texoma. Look for the Texoma Get Together in the Events and Rallies forum to learn more about it. And you might want to join that North Texas bunch that does the actual work of running the rally. I'll be very surprised if you don't get excellent service at Prestige Ford.
