Can be purchased at Autozone in small tubes for a couple of dollars or a large, life time supply, plastic jar for about $10

Re: Lube brake caliper rails

Thanks. Tips on using it? Do I have to remove the calipers?

Re: Lube brake caliper rails

Jack suggested the following: Open the bleed valve and compress the piston to bleed the water saturated and oxidized(?) discolored brake fluid. Remove the upper caliper pin rotating the caliper on the lower pin. Clean the upper pin and relube. Clean the bore in the caliper. Replace the upper pin. Now do the same for the lower pin. Calipers never come off and there is no danger of mixing the upper and lower pins up. It is useful to rotate the pins 180º ie. clockwise or ccw, so they wear evenly.

Re: Lube brake caliper rails

Ok thanks. Already changed the fluid so I'll just re-lube the pins.
