need to disable the factory alarm - Diesel Forum

I had to do some welding on my rocker panel of my 2002 F250 Lariat. I disconected both batteries and fixed the crack. When I reconected the batteries my doors locked. I tried to unlock them with the remote and it would not work. When I unlock the doors with the key my horn starts honking. When it stops honking if I turn the key in the ingnition the truck will start, but the horn honks as well.

Can anyone tell me how to disable the factory alarm?

sounds as if maybe there is another alarm installed that you dont have the controllers for, i could be wrong, maybe try to leave the key in the on position(windows down), connect the battery this will usually bypass the alarm, just trying to help, it may or may not work

Got it. Thanks. Now I need to figure out which door switch is stuck open.
