new steering box hard to turn left - Diesel Forum

had a new steering box installed ( from the stealer) when the old one snapped at the gas station. Now it seems there's little to no assist turning left and feels brand new turning right. What could this be? I'm out a grand for it, and they will not go any further so it's in my hands.

sounds like they didnt adjust the box. at least on my old '78 i had to adjust balance of steering. installer needs to get it right if thats it.

Assuming this was not a problem with your old box in, If the dealer installed their part and it doesn't work right how can they say their not going any further. Are they saying its not the box its somthing else ?
