Re: Paddle to Tow Mirrors Conversion

I assume that you mean "power telescoping" you mean that they extend out and in by flipping a switch? The only power telescoping mirrors are the ones of the brand new '08 models. The 03-07 models have the heated element, amber lights and have power to for adjustment of the glass. You have to pull them to telescope out. powerstrokeshop.com sells the 03-07 type as a kit. Maybe they sell the '08 style but you have to call to make sure. I've seen someone convert the '08 style to their older truck somewhere but can't find the post at the moment.

Re: Paddle to Tow Mirrors Conversion

i had to get the amber light cover piece on my drivers side mirror after a semi clipped it and broke it. 43 dollars for that part!

The 08 Powerscope mirrors on my truck they said are around 600 a piece! If you can afford it the 08 mirrors are worlds better than the mirrors that came on the 03-07 trucks. i drove a 6.0l last week and looked and thought "wow these mirrors are terrible compared to mine"

I would love to know what that seller is up to,, with two of the same things,, and such a HUGE FREEKING difference in the "Buy it now" prices??

Ok, one is manual extend and the other is power,, I did not even know they were available in manual...

He is not a great "Proof reader" of his listing,,
First "bullit" in his listing says this,,,

# Includes NEW in Box Left and Right Ford Original Tow Mirrors (Not an aftermarket cheap headlight).

[/ QUOTE ]

Guess he does not know what he is trying to sell,,,

Really I can't imagine why anyone thinks they NEED the power fold/telecoping for the cost difference,, unless it wont fit in your garage, with them out, and you wanted to fold them everytime....

The cost of the manual ones, is decent I guess! If you wanted/needed new mirrors, it would be a viable option, IMHO....
