On a dually, you only have to make an alignment mark on the driveshaft to yoke, remove the driveshaft, yoke, and replace the seal. Then reinstall the yoke, tighten the nut to 400-some ft. lbs. and reinstall driveshaft. Usually when I have done it however, I just use my good 1/2 or 3/4 impact, I don't even bother with a torque multiplier or trying to get out the 3/4 torque wrench. The pinion bearings are setup with a spacer to limit preload.
I have also seen on here frequently that most people have only paid around 100-140 bucks to have it replaced. I would recommend to check what your dealer will charge, and with that you should also get a warranty should it start leaking again after a short term.

My fear is the dealer telling me they know how to do it, but do they really?

The three I stopped at didn't!!! Two out west and one here in the south. Took a dedicated rear end shop and my mechanic of 30+ years to educate me on the proper procedure.
Smokeywren has the write ups on both the rears that come on our trucks, I'd give him a holler.
