Power window problem????

I have searched the forums and cannot find an answer to my problem. I do not have power at the switch. The windows do not go up or down and the switches do not even light up. the truck is a 2002 Excusion diesel. I have unplugged the plugs and cannot find power at any of the points on the two window plugs. Which wire should have power? Is there a fuse or just the circuit breaker. I replaced the breaker with a 60 amp fuse and still nothing. There is power at the fuse panel.

I'm hesitant to say that you might be in over your head... not to worry... electrical seems to be the hardest thing on most everyone... techs in my shop included.

With the skimpy info given, I'm going to guess broken wires in the rubber convolute between the drivers door and the A pillar.... What is necessary is that we check each and every switch (including the window lock switch) with everything connected. What works? What doesn't?

The system is surprisingly simple if we can wrap our heads around electrical theory.... insurmountably difficult if we can't.

I'm not saying anything is "bad".... I AM saying that electrical can be difficult. FWIW, half my guys are banned from electrical repair....

Nothing related to the windows works. The illuminated switches do not light up. The door locks work and that switch is illuminated. The mirrors work. What color wires should have power on the winndows? I cannot find power on any of them.

If we are both on the same page, i would expect that there is a black wire in the pass-through that may be broken. This is not to say that the black wire is the only one to look for/at. You will more than likely discover other wires that are affected in one way or another and these should be addressed at the same time....

If this is the case, any repairs made to the wires cannot be in the flexed region... even solder and heat shrink will make these wires significantly stiffer and will result in another failure.
