PowerStroke label on the doors - Diesel Forum

How is that lame "powerstroke" sign on the door mounted? Bolted on or glued? I would like to remove them. I also want to remove the stupid "4x4" decals on the pickup bed. I guess it's a peel off procedure there.

I know the limited and xlt badges are glued

Get you a hair dryer & use it on the 4X4 stickers. They will peel right off that way. The emblems should just be on there with 3M tape. I just worked mine off & then cleaned off the tape with goof-off.

The fender and gate badges are held on with tape, but have alignment pins so there are holes behind them. The "DOOR" badges are held on with just tape. Take a some what large size flat bladed screw driver and wrap a rag around it. Place it behined the badge and pull hard - it WILL pop off. Clean off the rest of the tape and goo, give it a wax, and you will be fine. Take your time and pull straight out so you don't mess up the paint.

Take some fishing line and saw it back and forth through the tape. Then clean off the remaining tape residue.
